Bladelius Embla Software Update
The Bladelius Embla uses proprietary software for ripping 'bit-perfect copies of CDs using our advanced proprietary data reading error-analysis algorithms enabled.
I’ve been playing around with Roon for a week or so now and also think it would be the perfect match with Bluesound. And might finally help me decide to pull the trigger on a Bluesound system - I’ve been counting my pennies Roon does work with my Squeezebox setup but it doesn’t work alongside the Slimserver and it’s a bit clunky, but it works. One cool thing Roon does is allows multiple profiles within a household with their own playlists, etc.
It’s still tied to the “master” core computer and it’s music but allows family members some control over what they wanna see in their playlists. Hi Tony, Thanks so much for the update! Really pleased to hear that this is potentially on the horizon. As a user of both, I can only see this as a huge win for Bluesound (and for that matter Tidal).
In my experience, the user-friendly interface is very engaging and becomes i) more used by those in the house and ii) a conversation piece for guests. With a world of music at the fingertips, it can be daunting asking guests to pick a song. With Roon, one song becomes another hint, becomes a conversation that extends all night (and several drinks later). I've already pre-sold a bluesound system for you based on the idea that it will be integrated with Roon. (Roon sold itself to this individual.
Who is using, frustratingly, AirPlay. They are super happy to upgrade the airplay network to bluesound nodes when Roon can integrate with them) What sold him on Bluesound was my comments about i) it's rock-solid network and ii) the sound quality. Newcomer with a question for you Roon aficionados: does Roon require use of playlists the same way the Bluesound app requires playlists, or can one bypass/disable playlists with Roon and simply select a song from an album and have the Roon player continue playing that album (rather than the next song in the playlist)? I would like to be able to just click on an album track and play that album without fooling around with playlists. Any advice for doing that inside the Bluesound app would be most welcome! Roon builds a dynamic playlist as standard, much like Bluesound does.
Unfortunately you will need to select the album first, and then the song you'd like to start with. It's not ideal but works smoothly enough. I know what you're referring to though, my Bladelius Embla is set to Album playback as standard. And like you i often want to play an album but start with the second/third etc song and then play the rest of the album. Btw, Roon displays a Play now/Next/Queue when you klicka on a track or album so most of the time its easy to accomplish what you intended. All the best /Mike.
Just had a play around with Roon. Still needs a lot of work in my view. The TIDAL syncing is confusing. Strangely when I add an album to my library in Roon, this action sends the album back to my TIDAL software as a favourite, but DOESNT show up in my TIDAL section of Roon under my favorites. Also needs an option not to hide the side bar - seems odd you cant leave it always visible, whilst at the same time you cant get rid of the Radio options side bar on a playlist screen. Very incosistent and a bit of a mess.
Hughes And Kettner Tubeman Mk1 Manual Lawn. Further the software crashes in windows when you try and add a profile pic. Has promise, but not there yet. Getting to know Roon after a few hrs testing out the software. Looks like the syncing with Tidal does eventually come through ok. The only confusing thing is that adding tracks to your library adds a favourite to TIDAL but then there is an added step of making the tracks favourites in Roon. Think this is fine if you only ever use Roon - as you essentially have two levels of favouriting - add to library and make favourite.
It is the best control software I have ever used, but with a few rough edges that hopefully will be ironed out. I am becoming a convert, so would be pleased if a Bluesound set up could be controlled by Roon. Daniel T Ferrara Pdf Editor more. ( I guess it already can if linking through an airport express and using Airplay, but would be better with direct support fo course for a whole host of reasons).
