Top News • • • Veteran television and film actor Mukesh Rawal, who was best known for playing Vibhishan in Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayan, passed away in a train accident yesterday, a kin has confirmed. The accident took place when the 65-year-old actor was travelling for the dubbing of an upcoming Gujarati film. His body was found at Kandivali railway track yesterday morning at 9.33 AM, but his relatives identified him only this morning. This is according to railway police press release. “His dead body was found today morning at a railway track in Mumbai. He died in a train accident. We haven’t got the body yet for the last rites. It is still in the morgue,” Rawal’s cousin sister-in-law Tejal Rawal told indianexpress.com When the news of Rawal’s death spread, some media reports suggested it was a suicide case, considering his body was found at a railway track. Tejal, however, refuted the reports.
