Gta Iv Install Problem Disc 2
So today I was going to play GTA V and got the disc out of its case and realize that has a tiny fissure in the inside circle:( and the Xbox didn't want to read the disc, it has no scratch in the entire disc but sometimes the Xbox read it and sometimes don't. I guess my Xbox broke the disc for playing it too much or something. I googled if it's safe to install the disc on the HD but I found that didn't recommend to do it. It's it safe to put carefully super glue on this fissure? Or it could damage my Xbox due temperature? So what's my best chance to have this fixed?
Your pretty much outta luck you can't fix the problem with super glue your only option is to install the disc on your HD if you want to play GTA otherwise you will need to buy another copy of the game. Do I install it or not? I wouldn't install it to the HDD because it does cause some performance & graphics issues. I would install it to a high-speed Flash Drive instead. It actually improves the performance and loading speed of the game over playing off the disc, and doesn't have the shortcomings of installing it to the HDD.
I installed my 'play disc' on a Flash when the game first released and it has performed excellent to this day. I have also played off the disc for many, many hours to compare the difference. There is already other proof out there about the issues by having them both installed to the HDD. So, I for one would not recommend installing it to the HDD.:).
I finally got my copy of GTA5 running I had crc errors with every disk and this is the solution when you get the error choose the ignore option every time and carry on with the installation. After its installed with errors the program will download the faulty files.Mine was a 20Gb DL After its finished I got another error -- 'the Rockstar update service is unavailable (code 1)' look this up on google or through rockstar support and follow the instructions exactly. Then start gta5 from the new windows log-on account. You still might get the code1 error so just 'retry' and then you will have a fully working GTA5:) Trazakk:). I too had CRC errors on every disk during installation. Unfortunately this solution did not work for me however I was able to finally get the game working correctly with one slight change, see below: 1) While installing the game, write down the filename and location of every file that has a CRC error.
2) Ignore every CRC error after writing down the filename and location. 3) At the end of the installation DO NOT attempt to start the game because at this point it will waste hours of your time downloading parts of files that are corrupt and will remain so after download. 4) Instead, go to your install directory and delete every file in your list that had a CRC error. Torrent Wham The Final. 5) Now start the game. This time the update service will download a new copy of all the files you deleted instead of trying to download the corrupt data within those files.
Be patient as I had so many corrupt files I had to download 50GB!! The game itself is only 60GB. 6) If your connection to the update service times out, just keep trying until it reconnects. Don't worry, you won't have to start all over again. 7) 4 hours later, depending on the speed of your internet connection, you can now start the game which should now work perfectly!! I hope this helps others who have had these CRC errors:) Paul. I just had crc errors for the first time on every disk.and i fixed it perfectly so no errors at all.its your ram, no question.
If your getting these errors its because of either bad ram or in my case and over clock cpu that overclocked my ram over the stock 1600 mhz. You can have an overclock just by ratio only because that wont overclock your ram. Right now i have my 4930k at 4.5ghz from the stock 3.4 with no crc errors. But when i had my overclock at over 5ghz with my ram overclocked that when i saw the crc errors on every x64_.rpf file.my suggestion would be to get or use some program like asus suite 3. To monitor the clock of your ram and go from there. While writing this im on disk 4 with no errors.and 20 min ago or so i couldn't even make it through disk 1 lol. @ArrogantNormand I just had crc errors for the first time on every disk.and i fixed it perfectly so no errors at all.its your ram, no question.

The CRC error in my case was the disks.so I DL the game and it now works fine:-). I got the CRC error every time i tried installing GTA V from DVD, in the middle of disk 4. Eventually I had to download the whole 60 Gb from Rosckstar which was also a real god dam challenge but I think now I know what should have been the issue 3 likely causes of CRC Error on installation: • Disk might be corrupted - the game files are archived on DVD which makes the installation very vulnerable to any scratches on the disk (not the case for me). • You might have stability problems with your RAM (which is importatnt to to a huge files processed upon installation): undo any overclocking of RAM, set it to a default colck/timings settings in BIOS (didn't work for me). • Expand your PAGEFILE on the harddrive (through Windows basic settings, it's easy).
Again due to the huge size of gamefiles installed. I think that was my problem - I had speedy SSD and 8Gb high-perfomance RAM, and i thought pagefile is not important for my config.
However when I had set it to 10Gb (from defalult 500Mb) - GTAV LOADED IT ALMOST FULLY! So really, make it as big as 10-15Gb for GTA V. PLease reply if it helps)))).
