Hi there I'm about to install RA but I've just noticed that it comes with a version of Kompakt. I'm on an Intel Mac and need to install it as an AU and already have Kontakt2 on my machine. Do I need Kompakt to run RA, and if so, will this interfere with my Kontakt2 in any way? I would much prefer to use Kontakt2 and keep everything in the same place. Does the EWQLSO XP use Kompakt as well or does it use Kontakt?

Many thanks - I didn't want to hit 'install' if I am about to run into problems as my Mac is running like a dream and I don't want to mess it up (v.busy at the moment!). Hi Commander (SOS Legend!), I'm running RA on a power Mac G5 but not the Intel Mac.

However, although i occasionally run Kompakt on Logic (Pro 7.2.3) and outside as a standalone, i will use Kontakt 2 to open up RA which works fine both in Logic as an AU and as a standalone which gives me a far greater flexibility with controls and hybrid soundsets. EWQLSO XP (Gold?) whichever one, i use more frequently in Kontakt as with RA although it does come with Kompakt as standard. Bottom line, use Kontakt 2 and both will enable you to keep everything in the same place. Just to fly the EW flag for a moment, there will be a PLAY version of EWQLSO coming out soon which i'm sure will ultimately win the war with Kontakt but at least for now i don't think it's out and what i've stated will be the best option for you.
